143 skyscrapers were built in 2018

In 2018, a total of 143 skyscrapers above 200 meters (including 200 meters) were built around the world. It can be said that this year is the year of skyscraper construction.
According to statistics from the High-rise Building and the Urban Habitat Council, the combined height of these buildings has reached 35,246 meters, more than the length of Manhattan Island.
At present, China is at the forefront of the wave of skyscraper construction. This year, a total of 88 buildings were completed.

Beijing China Zun(Chongxin Building) is the tallest building built in the world in 2018. It is 528 meters high and has 108 floors. It is now the eighth tallest building in the world and the fourth tallest building in China. The second tallest skyscraper built in 2018 is the “Vincom Landmark 81” in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, 469.5 meters high, and the third highest is the 452-meter-high Changsha IFC Center Building.
The United States completed 13 skyscraper projects in 2018, second only to China, and the United Arab Emirates ranked third in completing 10 projects.
Due to China’s ambitions, Asia has become a global skyscraper construction center, accounting for 76.2% of all completed projects this year. North America accounted for 11.2%, while the Middle East and Africa accounted for 9.1%.
